The School of Net Marketing

Privacy

This school teaches GDPR in Module 11. What follows is the same standard applied to itself, written plainly rather than defensively.

Reading the lessons requires nothing

No login, no newsletter gate, no paywall. You can read all 65 lessons without telling us anything about yourself, and nothing you read is recorded anywhere but your own browser unless you deliberately create an account. Every lesson page is a static file, so no page on this site is capable of behaving differently depending on who you are.

Your progress stays in your browser by default

When you open a lesson, or tick it complete, that is written to localStorage under the key sonm-board — a store inside your own browser. It is not a cookie and, while you are signed out, it is never transmitted anywhere.

Because it lives in the browser, clearing site data deletes it. To move it without an account, use the backup file on your progress page, which also clears everything in one click.

No analytics, no advertising, no cookies

This build sets no cookies at all and loads nothing from a third party. If that changes, this page changes with it and you will be asked before anything runs.

Fonts and hosting

The two typefaces are downloaded at build time and served from this domain, so your browser never contacts Google Fonts and your IP address is never disclosed to it. The site is static files served from a server in Europe.

Your rights

You have the rights Module 11 describes: access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and restriction. In practice there is nothing here to exercise them against: the only record tied to you is the one inside your own browser, which you control directly and can delete without asking us. For anything held by Google under a consent you gave, Google's own controls apply alongside ours.

Contact and corrections

If something on this page is inaccurate, that is a defect and we would like to be told — the same standing offer as the editorial page makes about the lessons.
